ABOUT SAGE
Sage Gegelman has been captivated by the magic and power of performance since she was young, from her humble beginnings as Greek Chorus #2 in her 4th-grade play to creating skits and music videos with her friends.
Dance has been a cornerstone of her journey, starting at the age of three doing Ballet, Jazz, and Tap. As she grew older, she delved into the world of Lyrical, Contemporary, and Hip Hop, and danced both recreationally and competitively. In high school, she further honed her skills on Dance Team, mastering the art of High Kick.
Despite pursing Finance and Business Law at Loyola Marymount University, her heart always gravitated towards the screen and stage. She took courses in Entertainment Finance and Entertainment Law that offered glimpses into its inner workings, yet it was a fateful encounter with a Beginning Acting class that she took to fill a creative requirement that ignited the spark within her.
Upon graduation in 2021, she moved to New York City. Currently, she is dedicated to honing her craft at The Barrow Group - taking any class she can. She continues to read books on acting and loves to work on different monologues and scenes.
She has kept a Movie Journal since she was a Sophomore in high school where she logs and writes about each movie she has seen. Through her Movie Journal, she has explored the profound impact film and the arts have on our emotions and understanding of humanity. For her storytelling, transends beyond performance, its about reaching into the depths of human experience, and connecting with others (as well as connecting with oneself).
In her free time, Sage loves to read in the park! Currently, she is reading The Death of Ivan Ilyich. A perfect day for Sage would entail waking up early and going to a Pilates class. Getting an Iced Sweet Latte and chocolate croissant from Blue Bottle and leisurely reading in the park. Going to a wine bar and getting a chilled Beaujolais with a cheese plate and oysters. Followed by a movie :)
